It seems almost weird, that my 3rd entry here will be about something so negative as being sick. But don't worry, I will try to be positive about it. ;)

So, getting sick in Pakistan, as I was told by almost everyone, is a common thing that everyone has to go through. I didn't expect it to come so soon, but at least I will have this issue behind me fast.

Since I arrived 2 weeks ago, I have been eating a lot of Pakistani food, been going out, been smoking shisha, been going to work etc. But especially the first part - the food - is very tricky. I didn't really avoid it, because I knew it would eventually make me sick, but I also didn't go all crazy by eating street food. Still, the germs and bacteria here are completely different from those harmeless ones we have in Slovakia. Especially if you try stuff like Kata Kat, Halwa Puri served in newspaper, chicken and mutton of many faces etc.:)

So on monday, going to work, I got a fever. This has been somehow dragging the whole day and in the night, it got pretty bad. The next days I visited a doctor at the South city hospital. If I had pictures of that place, I would put them here. A really nice, fancy and safe looking place. Also very expensive. Anyways, we went to see a doctor, she sent me for some tests blah blah blah. After wednesday, I ended up taking antibiotics and some other pills. I took something called Ciproxin 500 and something called Buscopan. So my fever has dropped after couple of days and I am slowly getting better.

Still there was so much I missed during this week. Especially when I was lying in my bed or in front of the TV, with a fever of 39, strong headache, stomach cramps, diarrhoea, muscle ache and cold shivers, I missed my family so much. In that moment, I just wanted to be home, to have someone make tea and food for me, and tell me something nice, and take me to doctors that I know. Even after only 2 weeks away... I know it is really short, but still, who wouldn't feel like that being sick.

At the same time, I am so gratefull for all the amazing people that have been helping me this week. Everyone was extra nice and tried to help me as much as they could. I know I am annoying when I am sick, so I appreciate it even more so. :) Many many thanx to Saaim and Junaid for taking me to the doctor, to Masooma for being on the phone with me a lot and to her mum for bringing all the amazing food and tea for me, to Rahab, Andrius and Tobias for being super nice and making tea and shopping for me.

The fact that I felt like "vypluta a vyzmykana" didn't seem so bad with all the great guys around here. So if anyone is stressed with going to a foreign country and gettings sick there, don't be. There will always be nice people around to help you out. ;)

Many hugs from in front of our TV still :p
